Our Projects

The Canberra Region Joint Organisation engages in a large number of projects across the region, both as an advocate, a collaborator, and through its various business divisions. These projects align with our strategic priorities, as shown in our CRJO Strategic Plan.

 

Regional Waste and Resource Recovery Program

The CRJO facilitates the Regional Resource Recovery and Waste Working Group consisting of Waste Managers of our member councils.

Net Zero Program

The Net Zero program for the 11 CRJO member Councils is as a result of funding from the NSW Climate Change Fund and the Sustainable Councils team at the Office of Energy and Climate Change.

Resilience Blueprint

The South East New South Wales Resilience Blueprint provides a roadmap that allows each of us, in our different roles, to navigate our own resilience journey. It recognises the diversity of lived experience, the knowledge and insights of those who call this region home.

Regional Drought Resilience Program

The Regional Drought Resilience Planning program is designed to enable local governments (and their communities) to better prepare for, respond to and recover from drought. The Project is a pilot project under that Regional Drought Resilience Planning program.

Disaster Risk Reduction: Learn Share Embed

In 2018, the Australian Government established the National Disaster Risk Reduction Framework, which is a multi-sector collaboration designed to reduce the disaster risk and limit the impacts of disasters across all sectors of society now and into the future.

Trade Skills Program

The Trade Skills Program is an innovative pilot program which promotes leadership for women in the workplace by creating a pathway for women in council to become a town planner or para-planner via trades-based skills.
